Two Good Movies

Recently watched two good movies and thought I would share.

1. Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles
-I usually don't pick out sub-titles (because it is hard to read and knit), but I really enjoyed the directors other movie (The Red Lantern). Anywhoo, the movie started off kinda boring and going nowhere, but by the end I was crying like a baby. Its one of those movies where nothing really happens to make you cry, but the emotions of the actors really come across. I would highly recommend it.

2. King of Kong; A fist full of Quarters: This one is about the world record for the video game, Donkey Kong. I really enjoyed watching Billy Mitchlle make a fool out of himself. I have never seen anyone so egotistical in a documentary. It is really funny, go rent.

Tap.....Tap......Is this on?

I know, I know, it’s been a while. I have done a lot of crazy cool things and thought I should update my blogy-blog. Lets see, where to begin. Oh, I went to Rome! Yes, Rome Italy! OE surprised me with a trip to Rome as my Christmas Gift. What a guy, I tell you. We went on a whirlwind trip and stayed in Rome for one week. It was so amazing to ride the subway, (Metro) and then walk outside to see the Colosseum! Two worlds collide. For me, taking a bus to the city, then the Metro, was a big culture shock, then to be hurled back in time thousands of years was amazing. What’s that, you want pictures, well ok here’s a few.
This is the inside of the Colosseum. You can see the small rooms where they kept lions and could make them appear in the center of the stage with a pulley system.

This is the Trevi Fountain. Very beautiful, we went back at night to see it again all lit up. Last October, Graziano Cecchini poured red dye into the fountain to protest. He is the same person who recently dumped thousands of colored balls down the Spanish Steps, Oh, the Spanish Steps we went there too.

Here are a few more random shots from in and around Rome.

Since this post came out so long, you will all have to wait for my next post. In the next post will be pictures of a ski trip/dog sled ride out to a forest service cabin.

Ciao
